EIGHT weeks ago my wife and I each applied to get a Nationwide Flexi Account well in time for our tour of Europe in the Motorhome.

At first we pleased, we'd so many good things about this account and the nessacery cards, passwords etc etc arrived really quickly, within 15 days.

My wife is STILL waiting. They lost the paperwork with the office, they failed to do what they promised to when she phoned on three occaisons to try and sort things out. The last telephone call be on Friday last, when they promised faithfully to get all the details us her by today.

Well it hasn't arrived, and we leave on Friday morning.

Total incompitence, someone in the NEW BUSINESS DEPT wants their !!!! kicking.......... Right out the bloody door.

So Remember if YOU want a Nationwide Flexi account. Give them plenty warning. 12 months maybe two years, but dont hold your breathe while your waiting.

As for my account... they can stick it where the sun dont shine when we come home off holiday.

I dont want any dealing with these Bloody Amateurs,

Stuff them.

I had similar problems when it came to adding my wife to my Flex account. Very frustrating: but it was our only major problem with them, and they have generally given good service and saved us an awful lot of money (not to mention the 200 pound loyalty bonus). So since you have been to the trouble of opening an account, hold on to it for the next time you need it.

If you spoke to Nationwide in a similar vein, I daresay someone took great delight in throwing your application into the bin - I think I would have done likewise !

Should this really be in motoring? Amateur

I opened my Flex Account online, I think they sent 2 forms, one to give my employer and one to transfer my direct debits. All very simple really.
