Bargain romantic short break needed!

Hi, I'm looking for a good deal on a short romantic break anywhere for the first part of the half-term week. Tried cheap flight checker but not much from my area (North East).

Anyone know of any good hotel deals anywhere nice (Scotland?), minicruises from Newcastle or Hull or anything at all? Any help appreciated.

P&O would have been perfect but all booked up - it's half-term week.

The other one looks more liek holidays than short breaks.

Look at the Active Hotels site. I have had two very good bargains from them recently. If you include a Sunday night you often get extra savings and as you don't have to pay in advance you can carry on looking for other deals.

We stayed in the Rochester wing which was lovely.

I dodn't tell my girlfriend where we were going and you should have seen her face when I pulled up to the electric gates at the bottom of the driveway.
