Help? I was called a few times and again yesterday by a lady from a company (cant remember name) who said that if I find all my loan and mortagage agreements that a solicitor from their firm will go through them with a fine tooth comb to try and find descrepencies. They will then pursue claims to get my loans or mortgage wrote off completely plus ask for compensation. Sounds too good to be true!
I asked what is in it for them? Answer: they get 20% of any compensation award up to a max of £2000 (capped) If I received compensation of less than £1500 they would not charge a fee.
Still I have put them off till next week while I find all my contracts up ..... this will take me ages anyway. Has anyone heard of this Martin if you are there HELP? I would love this to work in my favour but I am unsure what to do is dont want to be coned.

There is no such thing as free money. these companies are in it for their own benefits not yours.
They will be doing nothing more than you can do yourself with the advice of people on here or from the free debt advice charities.
In some cases they may make your debt unenforcable, but it is very unlikely to be written off.
Just my thoughts, but I'd stay well clear and contact CCCS, Payplan or CABLBM : March 2008

Hi
I suspect they are looking at PPI, statute barred debts and whether the Consumer Credit Agreements are valid, plus possibly charges.
You can do all of those with the advice of people on here, CAG or NDl, for yourself, free of charge. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
