    Not looking good for TW at all, Dresdner just released a note stating:

    seems that they originally announced 13 office closures with 600 job losses

    and its actually been 13 office closures with 900 job losses

    as you say main news seems to be the finance

    Yeh my mate who is a quantity surveyor has been laid off, quite a few others that he knew had also had the same happen.
    His last day is this Friday, fortunately for him he's using this as the kick up the !!!! to take a move to Canada to live with his dad and work out there for a bit!

    Good for him. As I expected, people will move to where the work is if necessary. There is no divine right for a continuous construction boom in the UK.

    I'll employ some of the other builders to build me the house of my specification when building land prices crash and deflation properly sets in. The build quality is usually a lot better in a recession/depression than in the rush of the boom.
