Curtains and curtain pole

Ive recently painted my walls in my bedroom.
See pic below - its White Jade. a light bluey colour

http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/323/dsc00024ds2.jpg

wondered what colour, is neutral like Cream by best bet ?

Anyway I need curtains to suit

I measured my window, its
W - 43inches (109cm)
H - 63inches (160cm)

I need a curtain pole can anyone offer some advice.
At present there was wooden block above window and one of those plastic rails with the funny brackets on the curtain. i assume if i get a curtain pole if can be fixed to the wooden block. are their standard sizes for poles?

obviously i know nuffin bout curtains

i think you need to get the chrome poles they luk really nice and the curtains you require have like silver eyelets in the top were the pole will run thru.. i try and post picture for you,,these are the fashion now.....in fact i will post the curtains in both my bedrooms, coz they are both slightly diffrent,,same curtain pole though

yep was thinking of a metal/chrome one.

this might be stupid question. if u get a pole like that, ur curtains to have eyelets.

curtains in shops, do they offer the option of eyelets or wotever other method available lol.

you just tell them ur window is 43 inches across when u buy ur pole
When u buy ur curtains you will need to look at the measurements on the packet , so they need to be more than 43 inches across and they need to be more than 63 inches in the drop (you called it height)

yeah those curtains are nice,,u need the same pole as mine in the picture,,those curtains have large silver hooks which just slide on to the pole as opposed to the eyelets as in my picture and aslo they can come with the option of eyelets or the loops coming from the curtains as in ur picture
