Help - Holiday in Greece 30Aug for 7nights.

We've been looking round loads of web sites and also getting some info from some travel agents but I thought the masses here may be able to help.....I really hope you can
We are looking for a 7 night holiday flying out the earliest of 30th August and the latest of 1st Aug. We don't really mind which island/area of Greece we go to but the criteria is this
Pref self catering (don't mind if it's B&B though)
Quiet resort with some bars and restaurants but no 'mad' nightlife as we want a chilled relaxing holiday.
Nice beaches in walking distance
Not too close to the airport
And the last but not least...........UNDER £300pp all in
If you know of any gems out there then please pass on the info as we are getting desperate to get something booked.
Thanks!

Have a look at Thassos. Just got back on Sunday after 1 week's stay. It sound perfect for your requirements. Mainly 35+ age group & speaking to loads of people who return year after year, it doesn't attract the 18-30 type at any time of year. It's very picturesque & has lots of tavernas & small bars without being "in your face". The trip does involve a 30 min ferry crossing but that's also a nice start to the holiday & the port is only 15 mins from the airport with ferries running every 30 mins. We stayed in Thassos town but did hire a car to see the rest of the island & can honestly say we didn't see anywhere we wouldn't like to stay. Only Kosmar & Thomson go there. We booked with Travel Republic, flying with Thomson but with seperate independent accomodation. It was 13 euro's to the port by taxi & 5 euros for the crossing for both of us. It's worth looking at. Thanks for that. I'll look into it.
One important bit of info I missed off was which airport we would like to fly from. It would be really good to be able to fly from Leeds/Bradford as it would be under £10 in a taxi for us to get to from our house. However the flights from LBA seem to be silly money so we are willing to fly from Manchester but could do with the flight times not being 'stupid'.

Flights from Manchester to Thassos with Thomson leave Sunday 8am & arrive back 4.30pm. Kosmar flights are fridays but go via Skiathos so take a little longer.0
