hello moneysavers - not sure if this is common knowledge but during july and august you can use your young persons rail card in peak hours and get a discount

Can confirm that there is NO minimum fare on Young Persons discount cards during July and August.
You may need to remind some new inspectors that this is the case, just show them the Y-P leaflet which states the above.Ex-Employee of a Train Operating Company.
