I have been having problems using my usb for months when uploading my photos to the computer. I think it happened when i went from dial up to broadband but not sure i didnt have a internal ethenet connection so my neighbour gave me one that plugs in.
Anyway when i put my memory card in the usb comes up with usb device not recognized then says one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recocnize it. When i click on message to resolve problem says the location of the device is shown in bold type
usb root hub (2 ports)
Aei usb to fast ethernet adapter
unknown device ( this is the one showing in bold)
Please can anyone shed some light as to what is going on is my usb faulty or is it something to do with this ethernet connection i am useless at all this

Does it work if you unplug your USB/Ethernet adaptor?
If it does then its likely that the adaptor is pulling too much current. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Uninstall/Re-install your USB drivers.
Get the name of the ethernet card model and download the latest drivers for that also - you might get lucky with finding them via Windows Updates.0
