Are they worth the money?
I'm thinking of getting a photo printer to print out a large number of my digital pics. However I see people like bonusprint do it for about 5-12p depending on number and size. Can I even print them this cheaply at home?
Any opinions welcome...

You can't print them cheaply at home. Not if you want decent quality prints anyway.
That said, http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=11130935#post11130935
I wouldn't be without my photo printer.0 -
In a word - No you can't print them this cheaply at home, but there are advantages of being in control of what you print. If you are just looking for bulk 6 x 4's with no editing then take them onto the high street and get them for a few pence and be a lot quicker than printing your own.
If however, you want to 'edit' and work on your pictures then you need a photo printer. If you do buy one, make sure that it takes at least six different colour ink cartridges, avoid HP (genrally more expensive to run) so an Epson or Canon.0 -
I would just take them to Boots and get them printed there. If you want to edit them you can do so and then load them back onto your memory card or burn them to a CD.0

If you edit them, best to make a copy to play around with and keep the original intact. <in case it all goes wrong!
> If it's a jpeg, then don't make changes and repeatedly save them, as you'll lose a lot of the quality and the image will become blocky. Jpeg is what's known as a 'lossy format' so it loses quality each time it's saved. Make all your changes - crop, resize, brighten, etc THEN save once. 0
