Changing Atlantic tariffs
Hi,
I changed over from pre-payment to credit Electric metre today. I have afew questions please:-
1. The metre was installed around 11am and the reading at 4pm was 498081. Can anyone advice why this is to high? I thought new metre should have been all Zero's.
2. I contacted Atlantic to change the tariff over from Domestic Standard to Domestic Standard online. The advisor informed me that I cannot do it over thr phone and I have to do it via the internet. I have checked on energylinx.co.uk but cannot find Atlantic Online tariffs. I have contacted energylinx and they have informed me that all Atlantic online tariff has been taken off by request from the supllier. Are anyone aware of this?
I already have standard online on the Gas.
Thanks
StarM

Don't worry about the meter reading not being zero. When the meter was installed the installer should have provided you with a card that specified waht the initial reading is.
Even if not, now you have posted it here you have a record you can refer to later when you receive the bill - the bill should reflect the start number you have given above
To switch online, you need to register through the atlantic website:

There currently seems to be a problem with the website - nothing strange there with the atlantic site recently, just try again later if you experience an error message."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Premier, Thanks for this. I have applied to switch over to the online tariff.
As per my previous message the metre reading yesterday was 49808. Today it is 49814. Any idea how much I would have used at the rate of 12.26p?
Thanks
