My experience of Hotpoint, Creda and Indesit (washer, oven, fridgefreezer) is that they will all break down in less than 2 years.
Getting a service these days from the manufacturer costs £99 and includes parts and labour. This can amount to half the price of the product.
All these products are made by the same company as are Ariston and Merloni.
The business model seems to be sell cheap and make £££ from the service.
Do not think a hotpoint is different from a creda or a indesit. They are the same and ONLY have a different badge on.

I have posted a video on youtube about my fridge freezer. It can be found by searching for Indesit and Fridge

    Good luck

Hotpoint are mid range. So its 50/50 on reliability.
    Creda - also mid range.
Indesit - avoid buying their fridge freezers as they are not good. Mate of mine checked 2 away after the 12 month warrenty period had expired.

  • I am sure I passed some in Asda Living the other day .. if u don't have an Asda Living near you try Asda's website. I am sure they were under £100.00 very reasonable between £60 and £100 I couldn't believe my eyes! Hope that helps. zOE
