Help me find swimming in York

I'm off to York in two weeks time and I am trying to find a cool place to go swimming. I'm looking for a water park type experience with lots of slides, waves and rapids really. Also some stuff for my little lad who is nearly 7yrs old.

Any suggestions appreciated

There is a pool with slides and wavepool at monks cross york, If you have a car it shudnt be too hard to get to. As you drive into monks cross shopping centre dont follow the trafic for asda carry on towards polar ford and its behind it. There is another shopping centre after monks cross called clifton moor and that has a vue cinema and a bowling centre.
