Wireless problem after hard drive failure

Just replaced my desktop hard drive after failure and can't get wireless access for our laptop. The netgear router is working alright but the operating file has been lost from the HD.
Can anyone tell me an easy way to restore the netgear file to the PC so that I can reset access options?
Your (speedy) help will be much appreciated.

    Many thanks loaner.
I've now got onto the router manager page and my accesss point and broadcast name are enabled.
The laptop still will not connect. Message is ......"windows cannot connect to xxxxx. Wireless association failed due to an unknown reason".
(it is a brand-new laptop I'm trying for the first time)
