hi a white line has appeared down the middle of my screen
anyone have any idea what this is? and how to get rid of it?

If it's an LCD monitor, probably a failure of the connection at the top or bottom of the screen.
Try connecting it to another PC/laptop - if still there then it's faulty. Many LCD screens have a 2 year warranty, so hopefully you can get it replaced...
(P.s. others on this forum have achieved a temporary "fix" with a clothes peg, but that didn't work on my failed Sharp monitor)0
