Frost Free Fridge Freezer

Never had one of these before. Is it normal for them to sometimes make the most dreadful noise and also to be very wet inside especially inside the salad tray?

Frost free refers to the freezer...not the refrigerator part of the appliance where the salad tray is located. Frost-free freezers will make more noise than a non-frostfree f/f as a fan runs inside the freezer compartment. Check that nothing is sticking through the grill of the fan inside the freezer at the top. In the refrigerator check the drainage hole at the back isn't blocked. If there's no thermometer in the refrigerator then get one so that you can check it's cold enough in there - only cost a quid or two.0

They dont make them to noisey. We have one in kitchen and one in garage (freezer) you get the bubbling noise when the water is condensing on the rear above the motor and the condenser which you get on a normall freezer too coming on
You loose some space in the freezer but when you way up that teh freezer doesnt freeze over you dont loose that much
I would never have a normal freezer again they are well worth getting
make sure you got for a A rating one or A+0 -
I can understand the noise even though it does seem a bit excessive at times but the wetness (I presume condensation) in the salad tray is a nuisance as it is rotting the fruit in there. I have a thermometer inside the fridge and the temperature is fine.0

What make is it? I have a Bosch frost free fridge freezer and there's a fan in the top of the fridge that circulates the air and takes moisture out. I certainly haven't got pools of water in the bottom of the vegetable boxes. It is noisy though and makes alarming gurgling noises. Shame it's in the room I work from at the moment until the kitchen is ready for it!0

The new Hoover frostfree FF we have here in the flat, is pretty noise free, although the instructions, all in pictures & diagrams, showed it to be an expected bubbling noise!!

It's a Hoover and it is literally puddles of water in the salad tray.0

This happened in my old fridge (not frost free) and it was the drainage hole atthe back of fridge just above the salad drawer that was blocked- I gave it a good clean out with cotton buds, then a wire brush cleaner jobbie and it was ok after that. Before I realised what it was I used to have a towel in there to soak it all up!0

It should not be wet in the fridge. Frost free fridge/freezers remove moisture from the air inside, as they work in a similar way to a dehumidifier. Mine dries out vegetables and other foodstuffs that are not wrapped or covered.
Check the door seal is making a good seal and that any drain holes are not blocked.0
