revamping ikea wardrobes - stick on mirrors?

we have two of these monstrosities




and i NEED to revamp them, im thinking paint them black and cover the panels with mirrors

now, do i need to get proper mirror glass or is there a cheaper option, maybe somethng that sticks on?

if i cant really do this im going to put wallpaper over the panels to match our feature wall

I'd go for wallpaper, glass is heavy and that wardrobe is quite a lightweight one. Also, it would need to be safety mirrored glass I'd have thought, which would be costly.

I put fabric in ours behind the plastic. You can pull it tight or put it on net curtain wire. Ours is stapled on with a staple gun. Looks OK.
