Wireless Connections

I have a Lenovo N200 with XP -2 software . In the pass i have needed to set some protection but my laptop will not connect to my PC. The router is D-Link 624 and both the internal wireless connection and the D220 usb will not work. Can i have guidence to reset any previous protection in my laptop as my PC is displaying it is an open connection. I await any help you can give. I can not afford to go to a shop for any repair.
