just spoke to OH and he said that the selector in the gearbox needs replacing, not sure of cost because it depend on the spec of the carWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

OH just poked head round the door and says that it is still ok to drive with just pull over before you pop it back in to drive or you will knacker the gearbox in completly (otherwise its just like driving a manual and not using your clutch) but to stop it happening in future you near to get the selector replaced.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

thanks for info . my partner is saying that the exact problem is that it is dropping down a gear electronically and the neutral flashes on and off but still drive but like in a lower gear. is this still a gearbox issue?
thanks in advance.iwanttosave wrote:OH just poked head round the door and says that it is still ok to drive with just pull over before you pop it back in to drive or you will knacker the gearbox in completly (otherwise its just like driving a manual and not using your clutch) but to stop it happening in future you near to get the selector replaced.0 -
after reading that he said that it will be the on board computer that tells the box which gear to select, it is most proberbly on the kickdown. As before it can still be driven for a while but wil get less mpg because you will be at higher rpmWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0
