we flew about lunch time on a sunday afternoon, and there was no queue whatsoever.....there is a seperate ireland/domestic security, you dont have to go through the main one for international flights...it is a bit of a treck though to the gates though lol but then isnt it always, it just felt more so as it was through like tunnel corridors lol0

BMI fly to Belfast City (George Best Airport)
Aer Lingus fly to Belfast International.0 -
You would want to be checked in by 4pm. Then you can just relax in the terminal and have a nibble to eat.
Thats the way I like to do it
Carrying hold baggage - 60 minutes before your scheduled time of departure
Hand baggage only - 45 minutes before your scheduled time of departure
Once check-in has closed you will not be permitted to board the flight. No refund or free transfer will be provided.
Like said you may want to check, as I dont think that flybe fly from heathrow at all!

I haven't travelled at 5pm on a Monday at LHR so can't really give an accurate time.
However.
1) There are 2 security lines, if you get a choice choose the RHS one as the LHS is for staff who are entitled to Q Jump. Thus making that line longer at times...
2) You should be able to check in Online with BMI. If you have no bags to drop this can save time. If not you Still have to queue to drop bags
3) Flights leave from Gate 2 (IIRC) which is quite close once you get through security (with the Aer Lingus flights you have a longggg walk to gates 78-90!)
I'd say check in about 1 hour before.0 -

Not anymore..all passengers have to go through the same security point (the main one). It doesn't matter if it is domestic or international.
The old domestic entrance is now for staff only.Lightbulb moment Dec 2005 - debt £23700
June 2010 - £17984.210
