Thanks catowen and cruella (37 is a wonderful age, just not young enough to still be dreaming of gymkhana rosettes!
)
I have 3 boys. They would be mortified if I'd entered a pony comp in thier name! I used my youngest's name. If he wins he won't mind, and anyway John Wayne rode horses!Jan 2015 Grocery Challenge £185.10/£5000 -

At first I was a little sceptical, thinking I would end up paying for the PS3 I was after by signing up on a long term deal. That is not the way it worked.
In fact, I registered, completed the offer with Coral for a mere £5 of my cash (for which Coral gave me a further £5 to bet with, which in turn I won an additional £20 on Spain winning Euro 2008) and in return, for referring 10 of my friends I received a PS3.
I am now working on getting a Nintendo Wii, which requires 8 referrals. Even if you find 8 of your mates unwilling to pay the £5 each, you could offer them the £5 and get one for £40!!! What a bargain eh!
There are other offers you can complete.
The Love Film offer is a great way to complete one as you get a 2 week free trial, but just cancel before the 2 weeks is up. Alternatively, you can sign up to the DVD rental service, easyCinema offer. You get 4 dvd rentals for £7.96. No subscription fees. You just buy credit as and when you want it. THIS OFFER IS BETTER AS IT INSTANTLY SHOWS ON YOUR NEXTGEN ACCOUNT AS BEING COMPLETED.
Just copy and paste the link below into your browser and complete an offer. Refer 8 of your friends and wait for your Wii to arrive!

Don't dismiss this as it really does work. Happy to provide a picture of my PS3 as proof.
This has appeared on BBC Newsnight, that explains the workings of this referral/free system of obtaining a Wii.

I enter for my sister, who is 7. And yes, if I win in her name she gets the prize (although I expect her to let me play too lol).
Wins: January: Wall.e game

Link to comp in original post is not found when I click it - this link works though:

I don't see any problem with entering these comps, as long as the rules don't say you can't. It's up to the organisers if they want to conveniently pass over you should your age be outside the range they want; I'm sure it happens sometimes.
If they ring you up saying the prize is intended for children, ask why this wasn't clearly stated on the comp page. Just be honest and say "I really fancied the prize so I entered".
Anyway, in this case, it says "Please tick this box to confirm you are over 18 or have asked a parent/guardian for permission to enter this competition." so they're practically inviting adults to enter.Many tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!:beer:0 -
ummm .. I ticked a box that said 'Are you over 18' - or is it meant to be under 18?:cool:0
