Hi all, I have built a video editing PC and began making a video. It is 20 mins long at 25 fps (avi file). When I have gone to mpeg2 code it, the file turns into a massive 9.4 GBs.
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. I am puzzled as a normal DVD can hold a film plus extras, but my file which is 20mins long takes up 9.4??
Any help would be welcome, thanks,
G.
(p.s I am using AVItoDVD)

I think 9.4 gig is a estimate of disk space needed during conversion process (AVI - mpeg - dvd).
It will be smaller but you'll need space for extracted audio, video, mpeg coversion & dvd conversion, the last two doubling the size of dvd. It sounds like a guess cause 9.4 is double the size of a full dvd so the final dvd will be upto 4.7gig, but like you say it's only 20mins so it won't use up a full dvd.0 -
