  • Thanks for the support guys,

I went into the opst office today and spoke to them and I've got to call a number to check its been delivered and get proof of delivery of them if that's the case...otherwise I've got a form to fill out to claim compensation...sounds like fun :P

just don't have the time for lovely little inconveniences like this right now :(

I can't believe the other buyer is taking it this far! Maybe he really hasn't got it?! I haven't recieved parcels before and the person attacked me with full blazing, she said "I know you have the item so give me my money back" - I did a refund through paypal, she is lucky I haven't yet left a neg!

as far as i know you can request a copy of the signature that signed for the item.
  • thanks for all your support guys...

you'll be delighted to know i'm sure ::) that the guy has now told me has received the package....was he trying it on?? i guess we'll never know... ;)
  • Almost certainly, got the item and thought he'd try it on as Special Delivery insures up to £500 at standard rate. If you'd claimed and got a refund and refunded him he's quids in as has item and cash.

Some people can be really dumb

The items I sell are small value so my situation isn't like yours. However it is odd how many people claim to have not had their parcels who then go on to suddenly find them when I explain that I have a certificate of posting and that the post office will do a search and then require them to complete a form stating that the item was not received before they will pay me out.

I'm glad you had a good outcome!

  • I've had a couple of near misses, but I honestly believe the majority of sensible transactions are genuine (IE not the DSLR for a tenner). Things do get lost in the post, people can be a bit flakey and not send things 100% on time.

Given a little patience it seems to come good in the end most of the time. (of course, not only am I opening myslef up here to a barrage of ebay horror stories, but also the near certainty of my next five transactions going pear shaped!)
  • I'm glad you had a good outcome!

well he hasn't left me positive feedback yet!! ;D Jeez...some people are so hard to please ;)
