First Expensive Sale

I have just sold a camcorder for £165 + £20 postage (no i have not ripped them off thats how much special delivery costs!!)
The person is new to ebay and has only signed up yesterday. I have checked all their details through 192.com and they are listed on the electoral roll and all the details tally with what was listed on ebay. If they pay via paypal, I am sending the item special delivery cos of the costof the item so I will have a tracking number, so no chargebacks should be made. I have said I will only accept Bankers draft/postal orders and paypal on this so no cheques to worry about.
Have I covered myself enough? I hate selling expensive electrical items cos of all the problems people have but I think I have done enough.
Advise please

As far as I am concerened thats about all you can do. At least you know that the account and paypal account and the address you are sending to all tally so there should be no chargebacks.
Only other thing you could do is give them a ring on the number provided by 192.com. Keep it friendly and explain that it the most expensive item you have sold etc.... and check that they are happy.
Ensure you have a note of the serial number before posting is the only other thing I can think of...just in case it suddenly changes.
But all should be fine.0 -
Thanks hintza. She hasnt paid yet but she could be paying by postal order/bankers draft. The phone number on ebay tallys with the one on 192 as well so that should be a good sign. Not sure about phoning i hate talking to people from ebay they always seem to shout at me!!!
I will keep you updated to let you know what happens.

Ebay keep the phone numbers of all their users and you can request it by going to this link:
Ebay Member contact details2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
check the ebay addy matches with the paypal addy,
check the feedback of the buyer,
personally if they have low feedback i'd ask for something other than paypal, money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
