Petrol Saving Credit Cards

I do alot of miles and (like everyone else) is trying to cut the cost of the petrol I buy

I have looked at the follwoing cards, which claim to cut fuel prices and also other alternatives that might do the equivalent thing.

ASDA CREDIT CARD (GE money)
- 2p off every litre Asda Petrol
- ~2% cashback
- Rang up and it does exactly what it says on the tin - money taken off at the pump when buy
- Limited to ASDA petrol stations (Note: tend to find them the cheapest)

TESCO BUSINESS CREDIT CARD (RBS)
- Only open to businesses, but as I am, I was considering this card
- 2p off every litre Tesco Petrol
- Not sure how this works as states collect 1 Reward Point for every £2 you spend. 1 Reward Point is worth 1 pence. Therefore spend £2 and just get 1p off OR typical petrol price at least £1 litre so only 0.5p off per litre????

SHELL CREDIT CARD (Citibank)
- 3% cashback on Shell Petrol
- Cashback earned in one month comes off the next months petrol spending - so have to keep spending to keep getting cashback
- Shell tends to be a few pence dearer than ASDA~ 3% less cashback

TESCO CLUBCARD PLUS
- Double Clubcard pts on spends in Tesco
- £100 fuel = 200pts = £2 off in Tesco = £8 Tesco Deals = ~8% cashback
- Tesco tends to be a few pence dearer than ASDA - equivilent to ~ 3% less cashback

What do you all think? Any better LONG TERM cards?

You can get the shell drivers club card with the shell credit card. Shell say this is worth 1p every 2 litres. It's a loyalty card that gives you shell vouchers or airmiles

Well the obvious downside is that if you choose one of the cards you're tied in to buying their petrol. Fine if one garage is always cheapest anyway, but then you're sucked in to buying their petrol even if they're a bit dearer than the competition (or that's what they're trying anyway!) Of course, if your credit score is good enough there's nothing stopping you from applying for all of them.

Personally I've got the Barclaycard with 2% cashback on all petrol and supermarket shopping, but I don't think that's available to new customers any more.

Good point - thats why I added an 'adjustment' for the general price difference in my area to the cashback amounts. However, they are unlikely to giv away something for nothing!

Anyone got the Tesco Business Card and tell me it does give 2p per litre - cause the info on website doesn't seem to support this?
