Help please -region code - Alba DVD 62X1

Help please!
Can anyone give me the code to unlock an Alba DVD 62X1.
It is region 2 and I want to play region 1 disks and make it region free.

There a 4 region hacks shown here:

None refer exactly to your model number, but if you try each in turn, one will probably work. The ones that don't should cause no harm, as it's simply a code to enter "service mode".

Thank you, but I have already tried these 2 shown on the site link you gave me.....it actually only shows 2 different ones.
But thanks anyway.

I am hoping someone out there will know the code for this model...

Just found this on an old MSE thread, don't know if it works


To unlock your Alba 62 DVD player follow the following steps:

Press open/close on your remote once.
Insert a non region 2 dvd into the tray.
Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Play.

The dvd should automatically close the tray & play the dvd, thus making your dvd player multiregional.

Thanks for your reply, but I already tried that code too, and it didn't work....I think maybe cos the code is for model 62 and I need model 62X1....?
