How to create a message board website

I need some help with this. I want to create a website for people who love reading like me to post their threads on any book of their choice. I am not a great techie and would probably ask someone to design the website.

Any ideas how much this might cost - to create the website, yearly hosting etc. It would be free and have no ads.

    You can create one for free with ads, without having any design or techie skills. There are many sites around which will let you do this - and some will then enable you to upgrade for a fee to a site without adverts.

    If you want your own domain name (Which is a website address such as https://www.moneysavingexpert.com) you will have to pay for that separately.
