Are you an EU national who left uni for money reasons?

Earlier this year, the European Court of Justice pronounced judgement in the case of Dany Bidar. The case concerned the right of European Union nationals to access Student Support (payment of tuition fees + a Student Loan + certain grants) for living costs if they
had been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands for three years before the start of their courses.
Jawaid Luqmani, the solicitor who represented Dany Bidar, is still pursuing action on behalf of other students in a similar position to Dany Bidar.
To support their cases, he needs to provide examples of European Union nationals who chose to drop out of courses because they did not have access to Student Support for living costs. Was this you? Or do you know anyone in this position? They would need to have been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands for three years before the start of their
courses.
If you are, please consider asking them (the sooner the better) if they would be willing for Jawaid Luqmani to contact them. Having
spoken to them, Jawaid will be able to advise whether their story can assist those already involved in legal action, and also whether he
might be able to pursue action on their behalf too.
If you are such a student, or you know one who is willing to be contacted, please send me a private message.
