Importance and Price of childrens shoes???

Is there the same thing for an adult? I have really skinny feet and really struggle to get shoes that fit. If I go down a size, they don't fit, yet get the size I actually am (4) I have problems with them being too wide.
No - sorry
Clarks's ladies shoes only come in a standard fit and a wide fit.
Some styles do fit a lot differently than others though. I'd recommend asking the sales assistant which styles fit narrow feet best
I suppose you've tried insoles and stuff to lift your foot and fill some of the extra width/depth?Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I've not tried insoles yet. I will try them - thanks for the suggestion.0

Eldest has wide feet and is frequently in a half size, which limits where I can buy his shoes, as only Clarks offers width sizes and not many places offer half sizes around here. I tend to buy at Clarks outlet to reduce the cost, but haven't found they last any longer than any cheaper pair, I've occassionally managed to get.0

Its natural to get different measurements by different sales assistants. It can depend on many different things - the angle of the foot, wiggly feet
as well as other things. Thats why the measure is only a guide - its the actual fit of the shoes thats important. And every shoe fits very differently - which is why you sometimes get fitted in a size different to what was measured.
There was a small batch of YoToy shoes that had faulty insocks - if you have only had them for a couple of weeks then you should take them back for an exchange - you should have no problem getting an exhange on them
Also, for those of you with skinny footed children then you'll be pleased to hear that Clarks are going back to selling 'D' fitting shoes later this year. They should be in the stores by the end of July ready for the mad Back to School rush
Ta for the info... but does that go for toddler sizes and will they ever stock less than a D? You've seen the feet!I saw two shooting stars last nightI wished on them but they were only satellitesIs it wrong to wish on space hardwareI wish, I wish, I wish you'd care0 -
I swear by Clark's too - and of course at the price of them.:p
DD has wide feet with high instep and narrow heels - they are a mini version of my own feet, but mine are a bit less pretty since I never got Clark's shoes when I was younger, so have a bit of a bunion going on ....
The only exception I make is when I find a pair of sandals that have velcro straps at the front and ankle, as we can adjust them to fit, as long as the sole is the correct size. This year's pair came from Woolworths for £3. She has properly fitted trainers for most of the summer, and will get new school shoes for going back to school. Because of the price she normally only has two pairs of shoes at any one time, but imho it's better than having lots of shoes that will mangle her feet over the years.
As to crocs- I'd not let a pair of them in my house - apart from being ugly I just don't understand why anyone would want to have their feet slapping around in plastic in the summer. Eughh! Not had any more info than that but when I do I'll be letting you know

I think common sense should prevail when choosing shoes. As long as they have plenty room for growth.
As for anyone wanting to be cruel enough to put those vile minger chav CROCS on their child....UGH!!! Thankfully my little one thinks they are disgusting too:happyloveLife - Live it to the full, but live it wisely :A0 -
i thought crocs were made from rubber and are anti-bacterial? i tried some but i'm between sizes and just wasn't comfortable in them. i hate seeing toddlers stumbling around in them
but if a child can walk properly are they really so bad? cheaper versions are avaialble in woollies, cheap shoe shops etc. and those are vile, really nasty material but real crocs don't seem so terrible

I buy Clark's shoes for DD to wear to school but at the weekend and at night I just buy her trainers from Asda or Tesco etc as she goes through them so quickly. She's forever getting holes in the toes. I bought her a new pair of hi-tec trainers from Ebay that had a plastic guard at the toes and they are lasting really well. Can't find anywhere that stocks this make now though.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0
