Car insurance info re second car

  • Ask your insurance company if they'll match your no claims on your second car, that's what I did.

    Don't know if they'll still do it now but Admiral did it for me a few years back but that was before they started doing the multi-car policies. Also Admiral will recognise your 7yrs NCB and not just limit it at 5yrs.

    They say they "mirror" your current ncb if you insure a second car with them.

    That's helpful. What would happen if you left them after a match of, say, 7 years and go with someone else. Would you then have two 8 year NCBs.

    From our experience no. ASDA matched hubbys full NCB on our second car for the first year only. At renewal the renewal notice said 1 year NCB.
