Virgin Media On Demand Service Query

Hi,
I am thinking of getting virgin media as I have heard they have a good on demand service. Does anyone have this? What’s it like? Does it have a back log of series to watch like lost, grey’s anatomy and scrubs? I know you have to pay for films. Do you have to pay extra to watch certain programmes?
I think I read that sky are now doing an on demand service. Does anyone know how it compares, i.e. what type of programmes/films are available? Is there a big price difference?
I only want the TV package, no phone or internet.
Any info would be appreciated.

Virgin On demand is pretty good. From memory it's basically divided up into three sections.
Catch Up TV - this has stuff from the BBC and Channel 4 for the last seven days so if you miss something and didn't record it you can watch itand is free
TV On Demand - this is older TV Series and as far as I can remember you don't have to pay. I can't remember what's on it as I very rarely use it.
Movies On Demand - this is a selection of films you have to pay for. The price varies according to how recent it is.
I don't think Sky has anything as good at the moment.It's my problem, it's my problem

I love my On Demand thing. I watched The Apprentice on it when I missed it and I catch up with BB on it. There are lots of different programmes, usually all the popular ones are 'saved' and some of the not so popular ones too. And yes, there is a part where you can watch full series (lost etc).Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0

Older series of Lost are on the On Demand service. Just not the current series.
