Windows Media Player wont play Audio Cds

    Well you've got me flummoxed now. If the CD only shows one track, I presume that you burnt this disc. Normally a 'proper' CD shows as

    Track1.cda
    Track2.cda
    Track3.cda
    etc

    It looks like this has been burnt as one whole track. I'm not sure if this is causing your problems in this case???

    this is what can be seen on either a home made cd (with 12 tracks) or a 'bought' cd with 11 tracks - both CDs can be played quite happily on other CD players and can skip forward backwards as normal

    It looks like the problem is that WMP and windows explorer can only see 1 track on the cd.

    However I have a cd ripper which can 'see' and play all the tracks and I can listen to each track individually using this ripper.

    It sort of narrows it down to a WMP/explorer software problem.

    Again any thoughts would be appreciated
