Credit card for those with bad credit?

Could any suggest what I could do? I owe about £3k on my barclaycard that now has about 17%. I have just transferred another £5k that I owed onto an RBS card my husband took out for me, cos I have just a terrible credit rating, due to some late direct debits this year.

I would like to transfer the balance I have on my barclaycard to a 0% card to help me pay it off quicker, but no-one will give me a 0% card, or even a low interest life of balance card, because my credit rating is in the gutter. i cant ask my husband to take another card out for me(he isnt aware of the true extent of my debts), but because i am so stretched financially every month, I can only pay the minimum amount.

does anyone have any ideas ? should I just wait say 6 months, keep my credit rating good and try and improve it, and then try applying again, or is there a card I can try to get?

I will stress these cards are for balance tranfers only - i am not interested in spending on them - i had my lbm 3 years ago!!

credi cards for people with poor credit records usually have dreadful APRs.. I doubt you will do better than your barclaycard at 17%.
if you're struggling with debt i would suggest you go over to the debt free wnannabe board, read the stickies there and post up a full SOA and see if people can help.
