EA won't let me book 2 slots, say they are busy.

Options
I need to get quotes from several plumbers and have called the EA to book 2 slots on Saturday so that I can have each of the plumbers separately. However, the EA booked me in only for 1 slot, saying that they are overbooked. What can I do? Please help...

  • Wow an EA who goes on a visit? So does this mean you have an offer accepted on an empty place? In which case, you should be able to go in for measuring up and the like (such as your case). Tell the EA you'll collect keys and drop back, they dont need to be there
  • An EA is likely to be very busy on saturday.
Perhaps he is less busy on some other day of the week.

Saturday is the busiest day for an EA.

Go with one on Saturday andlet the other go by themselves in the week afterwards if you're not available. The first will give you a better idea of what's wrong and the second doesn't *really* need you there, although it would be nice for you.

Did you get an offer accepted or are you using them to work out your next offer? (having left it a couple of weeks to let them stew?)

Not a smart move if you really want to buy it.

Yes, My final offer was accepted. I am now having to get several plumbers and electrician to the property as there are some works to be done. But the EA seems not to be happy with my repeated attempts to bring the tradesmen to the property. The EA even suggested that the tradesmen collected the key from them but I could not be there? I feel very strange, what if I ask the plumber to collect the keys and wait for me at the property? I don't really appreciate the significance of EA not allowing me to have the keys but allow other tradesmen to have the keys?
