How long before re-applying?

Hi there,

I am new to credit cards, and have been declined a card from Ulster about a month or so ago now. I've read the advice on cards extensively, and whilst it says that I should wait now until I try again with someone else, I'm not sure how long I should?

Is there a good amount of time I can leave without having a temporary "black" mark?

Thanks!!

each recorded search on your credit file lowers your credit score. Its bad to apply for too many cards in a short space of time. Apply for your credit report and pay for a credit score report as well and that will help you However, remember your credit score is not really worth a lot as all card issuers have their own credit score criteria, so what you get from say " experian " would only be thier own opinion based on your credit file.
