Can I install a lower version of Pc-cillin on my computer!!

At the moment, I am using Pc-cillin Internet 2005 security 12, bought as a download. My subscription is due for renewal in December and I want to buy a disc. I have seen e-bay is selling the Internet Security 11 , I guess it is 2004 at a very competitive price. I am wondering whether it will make any difference if buy and install a lower version of what I have actually got. Thanks

    Hi marylee.
I had PC-Cillin for a year or two. I've also paid for, and tried, McAfee Internet Security Suite 2004 & 2005; but found that my PC really slowed down. So I uninstalled it and went for AVAST - because it is FREE.

Have a look at the review from Webuser

I've had it installed on my PC, which operates with Windows XP, for a couple of months now, and it's been fine.

Thanks for this, I will keep this in mind when renewing times comes. If I understand, you will have to re-register every year. How easy is it to use? Do you get automatic updates as well?

Or AVG thats free and no registration unlike avast, on a group test
they both came out with nearly same rating...
  • Mine is up for renewal end of this month and they only want £19.99
Ok its a download, but you can burn it to disc
It doesnt affect the price, but there is an option to install the "lite" version
    eg antivirus only
