I'd just write the honest reason: That it's a very long journey for you and therefor you'd like it moved to your local court at "XXXXX". I think they have to move it if you ask but no doubt someone with lots of experience in the legal aspect will be along in a sec :)

Hi Isg - Northampton is a bulk centre for processing claims and as such does not hold any court hearings. If you defend the case or it requires a hearing it will automatically be transferred to your local court. xx x

May we know what it is in relation to ?

It is in relation to an old bank account that I had, (i don't have a bank account now due to my "problems") but I have been paying every month (since 2005) a sum agreed with the bank (Nat West), the re-payment was worked out by the CAB. the outstaning debt was almost £20k, (old overdraft & loan): the Max i can afford to re-pay is the amount that I have been paying, I have never missed a single payment since the agreement was set up. I have spoken with Shoosmith and the Bank but they say that they have a legal right to take me to court, As I am unable to pay any more than I am already paying, all they seem to have done is "up my Debt" by adding back the interest of the debt, and charging me the Court Fees,,, Crap Isnt it !
thanks everyone for your support, it's nice just to get feedback, so you don't feel so alone and rejected,

I think all you can do is let it go to court . You can show that you have been paying a amount you can afford. A court would not make a order for a payment you can not afford .

Thank for that info Stapeley, It's just the thought of going to court.,,, but I guess its not as bad as I think it will be.. I would think that the Judges are fair and will be able to see I can do no more than I am doing, just have to keep my fingers XX'd.. Thanks Again

    Hi

Several folk here have represented themselves.

    1. The other party often does not turn up
    2. You get to explain to the judge in lay person's language what the issue is and since you are repping yourself they are usually very tolerant.

Have a search in court hearing.
