Thanks Hayley, I wasn't sure if you had to win your points now due to the credit crunch......

Sent a query to toluna about my amazon voucher, as it's been four weeks since I redeemed my points and I've not got it yet. Got an email back from them saying theyd had a delay in receiving them and would sent it soon.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

  • It took me 10 weeks to redeem my Toluna points into CD Wow vouchers. I was hoping to use them for Christmas shopping but got them in mid January!

An update to my experiences with the survey sites: Between Ipsos and Shop And Scan (both the barcode scanner and the text a snack thing) I got enough points in a year to get my new iPod Touch from Argos (as I posted elsewhere), Pinecone provides a useful regular top-up to my eBay habit :) (and, to answer a question earlier, they don't have a referral scheme, except for rare occasions when they ask for people to recommend people and even then they don't offer a referral bonus or anything.)
Toluna has paid out in the past and I've been able to get some nice bargains at HMV.com as a result of getting vouchers - though they are slow to build up.
Ipoints build up surprisingly quickly and I have my eye on a couple of things in their prize catalogue; PureProfile, It's Your View, Harris Poll and Valued Opinions are good, if a little slow, and (once you've worked out how their points convert) Global Test Market are good payers (the problem with them though is that they use points= dollars thing and then convert from US dollars into the local currency - which means a lower payout now than was available for much of last year).

I wouldn't give up the day job, but I've done well enough from all the surveys to provide a nice, useful top-up to my admittedly basic lifestyle.

Actually the opposite is true. Last year I was getting £24-£25 per 1000 points. My last two cheques (December & January) have been for £31.93 and £32.28 so at the moment it's even better :j

I'm keeping track of what I make from each survey site for the first time this year so I'm looking forward to seeing the results :)
    2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
    2013: £134.96

I agree with blackmidnight. Received a cheque from GTM last week. I had cashed in around 1016 points and received £34.22. I was quite surprised at the amount of the cheque.

Hi, I use Toluna, Onepoll, Home of Research, and have just signed up for YouGov, and Valued opinions based on opinions from this site.

They payout's aren't great, but if you manage time correctly, and do all your surveys in a short amount of time, one after the other, then the time spent doing all these different surveys is minimised.

I get a small amount of payment for the effort i put in, but I see it this way: If I am gonna spend some time reading emails and probably ones that I won't really make use of, I might aswell do some surveys in the same time, and slowly build up some residual income - even if it is for that extra xmas pressie...

One survey site I would love to get onto is Pinecone, I keep hearing great things about it, but can never find that referral link...

If any kind Pinecone panelers have a referral link spare? I would love to get started.
I would be most greateful and will gladly refer you to the other survey sites I use.

    Fair enough!

Oh, and wwwigz, as I posted above, there are no referral links for Pinecone - you have to bein the right place at the right time to click on one of their banners (or hope they ask members to invite people again); you also should note shaz-ann's post on the previous page of this thread!

Just a quick question: when you ask for your GTM cheque, how long does it take to arrive?
