Marteebies, with Survey Friends, if you bet your points in a lottery and lose, doesn't that mean you lose all those points for no reward? I'm somewhat reluctant to bet points like this as there seems to be no indication of how many points are likely to secure a win. How many points do you generally bet?

    Hi,

Unfortunately you do lose all the points you bet in the lottery if you don't win. I will only bet points on the lottery when I have a large amount built up (so I'm likely to win).

I think its good that it works like this because less people will bet because of the fear of losing all their points, which increases your chance of winning ;)

However I have won my vouchers in the auction and through the gift voucher shop this year (2012 winnings; £50 amazon and £10 tickmaster vouchers)

I will ask my friend how many points he bet in the lottery at the end of 2011 to win the TV. Once i find out i will pm you!

    Good luck :)
 2014: £20 voucher from SurveyFriends, £10 cash payout from Panel Opinion too and working towards more from Valued Opinions currently.
2013: £35 and £50 vouchers from SurveyFriends! More than £15 made from other paid surveys sites (Yougov, Panel Opinion, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, etc.) Happy so far!

Just to help, the link to Valued Opinions is https://www.valuedopinions.co.uk/ (the all important 's' !)

Hope your getting on OK with toluna, they were awful in my own experience, not paying, screening me out after I had completed the survey or 25 mins of a 30 min survey, vouchers took months and months to arrive... Just the biggest joke of the survey world for me and as a result I left a while ago, I'd say Valued Opinions is much more reliable and don't screen me out after doing the survey. Would say though for both their customer service side is seriously lacking.

    Thank you for the correction!

Toluna is my least successful one on that list, but i still get to participate in a fair amount of surveys with them.

https://www.panelopinion.co.uk is definitely my favourite, as i've made the most money with them!

    Have a great weekend :)

A few more to think about would be

    Mysurvey www.mysurvey.com
Global Test Market (bit hit and miss but generally OK- keep an eye on them for errors though!) https://www.globaltestmarket.com/index.php
    Pureprofile www.pureprofile.com
Survey Head (you have to check the site yourself but they do offer decent paid surveys and you don't have to do them all) : http://www.surveyhead.co.uk/index.php

Glads opinion world worked for you: I was with them for about 3 years before working out that £10 really didn't make it worthwhile. I left because most if not all surveys paid in "sweepstakes" and the rest would screen me out, I don't know why I put up with it for so long- they used to send so many surveys, like 5-10 per day yet I rarely if ever got paid. If they work for you thats great but keep an eye on them, they did pay well initially (this was in 2001-2004) but shortly after I cashed that £10 out they didn't pay much if anything at all, I don't remember the exact amount left when I left them but I do remember thinking I was never going to get to the payment threshold and so left without claiming anything more.
I don't think I've ever done an Opinion World survey that has resulted in a sweepstakes entry (I've never even heard of such a thing on there), perhaps their system has changed since you were with them. They are also my highest payer out of 7 or 8 sites.

I've had the same experience as jenniewb with Opinion World; practically all the surveys they invite me to just give prize draw entries and charity donations. Someone suggested if I did more of the prize draw surveys I'd get more paying surveys, so I tried that, but it didn't seem to make any difference, except I was spending more time doing surveys for no reward.

On the other hand, I've seen people rubbishing other survey sites that have done very well for me. I think different sites must be looking for different demographics, and how well you get treated depends on how well you fit.

How long ago was this, I may not be the most observant person but I've never seen a sweepstakes mentioned on there. I joined august last year.

EDIT: Ok just had a look round the site and notice you get an entry into a prize draw with every survey, but I've never done a survey and got a draw entry rather than payment.

I have only had sucess with Opinion World. £100 in a year. This sounds so odd to me. Hope it sorts out for you soon x
  • Is anyone a member of Survey Network? I joined recently as I read on a daily cashback site that it was good, but I find it's very confusing and the surveys seem to take me to other survey sites to join up instead of just asking about products and the like. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Yes it does take you to other sites but you still get rewarded usually within a few days and sometimes instantly. I have cashed out once in 6 months. (£20 cash out) x
  • Does anyone else use Populus Live? I have reached my £50 which I know is how much needed to get paid but not sure when they pay out. Does anyone one know what point in the month they pay? xx

I have just done my first survey for pinecone. I joined a couple of months ago and have just done my first one. It was an interesting survey and only took about 10 minutes so I will see when I get paid!

pinecone only pay £3 for surveys.
