Hi there. I wonder if someone could help. I would like to get away for Christmas & the New Year, but want to go somewhere that is hot. Not just hotter than here, sunbathing hot.....
I have found some good deals via Thompson, to Tunisia, but dont know how hot it will be. Otherwise could someone recommend a destination?
I am also a single traveller, so places with single friendly supplements would be fab..
My main priority is the weather!!!! xx

You could try Southern Caribbean .. Barbados, Aruba etc.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
How about Goa? Sooooooo cheap when you are there and perfect temperatures.

We used to go away on boxing day for ten days to Gran Canaria. Always very hot, proper sunbathing hot but not for as long as in the summer, starts to go cooler around 3 to 4pm. reccommended, wish I was going this year.0

Tunisia is not hot at Xmas, if you are going for Africa Gambia is very hot(30+) Egypt is quite hot(25-30)Kenya is the same as Egypt temperature wise but a little more rain.best bet is India or Sri Lanka or even Thailand, these 3 should be in the 30+ region & they are cheap to get to & cheap to eat/drink there. my personal favourie is always the Caribbean but this is horrendously expensive to get to at xmas. i once went to Lanzarote for xmas apart from the fact that the Canaries think they are little britain i didnt think the temperatures were that hot yes you could sunbathe but if you went swimming the sun didnt seem warm enough to get the circulation going again, but that was just my opinion
i hope whichever way you go you have a lovely time & i hope i have been of some assistance
all the best

sorry didnt see you were a solo female traveller, i would leave Egypt off your list they can be over friendly with single ladies, in fact wherever you go be extra careful as single ladies are often seen as fair game, safest place on the list i compiled would be Thailand, Phuket is beautiful & you wont be pestered, well only round the street markets
all the best

As regards the canarie islands we went there xmas 2001. Enjoyed it but weather wasnt great (only in the low 60s) so if you chose to go there dont depend on it. We went to tenerife by the way.
