when i did the BT i was not told if i was late i would void my 0% promotion
and that they would change the due dates.if i had known this i would have IMMEDIATELY set up a direct debit to avoid being charged a stupid amount of money. the minimum payments are also debatable one of my minimum payment is £191 another is £25 then it shot up to £88 and now they have told me over the phone its only £5 i just dont trust them i think they make it up as they go along.but i will just have to wait for them to send me T&C and read through carefully.0 -

I find that hard to believe. It was almost certainly clearly stated in the terms and conditions, but you chose not to read those. Unfortunately, this is a failing completely on your part.0 -
If the card companies made up the T&C's as they went along there'd be no need for them to spend tens of thousands on printing them and sending them out to customers.
The T&C's are there for a reason, yours and their protection. It's no good whinging about it after the event. Just accept you made a mistake, learn from it, set up the DD and move on.
I'm sorry that's not what you want to hear, but those are the facts. Why do people persist in blaming others for their own misunderstandings/mistakes ?0 -

i recently transferred from lloyds credit card to virgin and have discoverd that if you are a day late with your payment they scrap your 15months interest free promotion you pay the standard £12 late payment fee and you have to pay interest on what you owe. i did contact them and they said they would half the late payment and interest and i had to set up a direct debit.
my payment is made on the 6th of the month to reach them by my due date of the 11th but this particularl payment they changed the due date to the 9th which i did not notice until my new statement which reads once again my due date is 11th.
are virgin trying to rob me because i am a new customer or are they right to change my due dates when they want to.
also i make the same payment amount everymonth but my minimum payments are always different sometimes its high and then its really lowthen high again i have not spent on this card and i dont intend to .
can anyone help and tell me if virgin are leagally in the right.
i am waiting for them to send me the terms and condions so that i can read though it.
Why did you not set up a DD. If you had all this could have been avoided.0 -
this is what makes it very annoying as i am a very honest person and i expect others to be honest call me naive but i did expect them to be behave like other banks obviously virgin are bigger vultures.this is a lesson learned NOT TO TRUST VIRGIN........0

i should not have to set up direct debits if my payments are made the same time everymonth without fail even when my due dates have never changed till this particular time .why did virgin change the due date that one and only time and then change it back again to my original due date .
i will tell you why they have to try and get their money back from all those court costs and it the little people who cop out.0 -

When you do a BT they charge you the FULL BT fee as part of your first minimum payment, which is shy you were charged £191. You were then charged £25 as the minimum payment required for the 0% promotion. Now you are off that, you've gone to the usual minimum payment of 3% or whatever it is.LBM:1/1/12Debts @ LBM:£43,546  Debts now: £9,486  78% PAIDFound YNAB 1/2/14 - the best thing EVER!0 -
they have not taken me off the promotion but when i telephoned them they said my minimum payment was £5 not the £88 on the statement
customer services didnt know why it was that amount .0
