Quake 4

Does anyone know if Quake 4 will work on vista home premium. I have just got it from Game. Staff didn`t know. My Quake 2 will run, but only in a small window. My graphics card is ATI Radeon 256 dedicated. 2mb of memory. dual core e4600. Thanks

Yes it works fine on both normal 32bit and 64 bit versions of Vista. Quake 2 is running in a small window because you've not set the graphics options to display it full screen.

Thanks for reply Conor. I have adjusted the video settings to full screen in Quake 2, but it reverts back instantly to small screen. Did you have to get directx 9 downloaded, as stated in the link in my second reply. Cheers. Philip

No because Windows Vista comes with DX10 which supercedes DX9.

dx9 I would have thought wouldn't install anyhow. Also we are on dx10.1 now

Just a slight correction on your post you said "2mb of memory" rather than I assume 2gb of memory a big difference
