card for 16 year old abroad

My daughter (16) will be studying abroad for 2 years.

What is the best way of giving her access to money for cash and card spending?

Can she use a pre-loaded charge card or similar?

    hiya
the best option may be to get her a cashplus card which is a prepaid visa/mastercard these cards can be topped up with cash at the post office and paypoints so you could top it up from the uk as far as i know.
i have a feeling they charge for the card but loads of people do prepaid cards now so there may be some free ones im sure virgin do one and the sun.
    hope this helps
