no paypal account

ok..so sold an item on ebay. Clearly stated Paypal only on terms of sale.
A couple of days b4 I got an email asking would i accept other forms of payment. I politely explained no (just personal preference and I live out in the sticks, no bank nearby, don;t sell enough on ebay to be bothered to wait for cq's etc, also had one bounce on me in past.. blah blah blah :D ). I replied but stupidly deleted the email.
Anyway..now the winning bidder has sent me an email (at the point I have given as deadline for payment) to inform me she is waiting for a verification code from paypal (didn't know you needed one just to buy) and can she pay by other means.

Am really miffed with her. Have replied stating terms and conditions of sale.

Have never had this b4 (I know..I know..am very lucky) but what do I do if she repies that she can't pay by my requested method?

Sorry, am sure this is old hat to most of you, but am very much a newbie on ebay ! :o

[ooh, have just noticed she has got a neutral from a seller saying "complete waste of time - don't bother with this ebayer]

edit: she has just sent me an email saying that even though I have had problems in the past, I shouldn't paint everyone with the same brush!!
Are these people for real! How the hell do I know anything about her? LOL

    Hi

I had to wait for 4 digit code when i signed up for paypal.
It should be on her next bank / visa statement.

If she cant pay by your payment method ie paypal you can start the NPB process to claim your fee's back ( takes 7 days before you can apply ).

Why not give them a few days or so to try and sort it out then if they cant carry on with the NPB process.

I have an American bank account (don't ask LOL) so that isn't possible hence why I always want it done by paypal.

You could look into Nochex.com. I had to pay someone via this recently and I'd never used the service before - your buyer wouldn't have to sign up with them or anything - just pay. I don't know how it works out for the seller though.
Personally I'd wait for the buyer to get their PP account. If she's on Ebay, she's on a computer - should have internet access to her bank account - get the code sooner. But then if she's being this helpful now, just think what will happen when you post the item... Send recorded if you carry on dealing with her.

It really bugs me that she is twisting it around to me being unhelpful when I have stated clearly that payment is by paypal only.

Get her to send cash via tracked postage method at her expense. Cant not accept that surely?

That is certainly an option. I will see what she comes back to me with.
But let me just say, my terms and conditions are clearly stated on each item's description. If a buyer chooses to ignore these, bids and then hopes that they can pay with the method that they prefer, why should a seller have to be party to a discussion about it?

I only bid on items that I agree in full to, why should not all sellers expect the same ?

I always put paypal only on my listings but you can guarantee you will get a clever beggar who thinks that they can pay by other means. Some people are genuine though, one winning bidder emailed me to say they didnt have paypal but they were going to open an account with paypal and if I held on a few days I would have the money. I got the money fine, I dont mind if the people let me know whats happening
