I just found two mystery shops I could do ... but one rejected me because I did it there last time and the other I had to be done on one day in particular when I will be in London at a bbq  Oh well, one week to go before my challenge starts and I really need to get some mystery shops booked inMortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000

Hi there.
Can I join, please?
I work in FE, we don't have an official '6 weeks' as such, but I have got a month off starting 29 July and a fairly easy time at work until then.
I do work for AQA, but I'm usually too tired (and not really fast enough) to make much money, but I think this is where I'm most likely to make money for this challenge. If I can just get myself on there!
I've also been thinking about matched betting (don't understand it yet) and really, really, really want to have a big clear out of stuff this summer, so might be able to ebay/amazon a bit.
I think I'll start on the same date as most of you all - is that the 18th?

Hi and welcome Polly
I think we're all starting around about then, depending on our own situation. I've no idea whether I'll get anywhere near my target as it does work out at over 150.00 a week  but whatever I manage will be very welcome

School finished today so I have booked a MS on Monday and have got 14 items on eBay that will finish in 10 days. I'm going to have a break this weekend as I have an essay to write but I haven't started the study yet - oops!
So my plan for the next 6 weeks is:
14/07-20/07: eBay toys and baby clothes. MS (1 booked in)
21/07-27/07: eBay 'other stuff'. Read about MB (ask for help!).Start putting books on GreenMet and Amazon.Daily clicks.
28/07-24/08 - eBay. MB. GreenMet & Amazon. Car boot? Daily clicks.
Not very exciting I know, but at least if I put it down here it will act as a reminder.
Right off to prepare some more eBay listings. (P.S. If you are not already, use Auctiva and you can schedule and add extra photos for no extra cost)

I think its just been down to good timing! I had quidco pay out 87 which I had been waiting forever on. Then I joined a new mystery shopping website and I picked up three right beside my work which never happens. Someone normally grabs them within 5 minutes and I never stand a chance!
The focus group thing has really taken off, I've been asked by three different companies to do a focus group on Monday night! I took the highest paying but boring one. I'm quite nervous as I have never done one before so hope I don't come over as a muppet! :rotfl:
I won't be able to do any for the next month though as we have OH's ds and I'm picking him up from his summer club after work and taking time off. So I need to grab more for next week! Fingers crossed. I could go back up to London after OH gets home from work if its a good one.
I need to get ebaying to bump up my target though, I've only ever sold a few bits but there are some shoes which I got for my 25th and I'm not that keen and they were v expensive. It Will be Mine.............ITV Cash Win, Ipod Touch & Spa BreakI have the comping bug!0 -
Hi everyone - I am a teacher and I would like to try this. I break up next Thursday so will start then. I am not sure I will manage 1000 extra, but I will try my best. Am going to be working a few evenings in a friends shop over summer, so that will be a start. I also use quidco regularly so hopefully that will pay out soon! Are we counting quidco only when it pays out? Also can somebody please put some links on about mystery shopping? I have never tried it before. Might as well use my time wisely! :-)Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)

Hi bigbeff, if you take a look at the 'Up Your Income' board there are several threads dedicated to the art of mystery shopping so everything that you could ask about MS should be there.
When I am doing the various challenges, I only count money when it has hit my bank account. I keep a spreadsheet of what I am expecting in so that I can monitor what is going on!
HTH and good luck.
(oops just realised that I am not meant to be on here - should be studying...oh well, there's always tomorrow)

Thank you! An hour and half talking about a rather mundane household item will be so much fun! Just have to get home without spending the fee.......... I think Oxford St might feature in my walk to the train station.  Will have to think of a new route.
I'm off from friday lunchtime for a week and looking after OH's ds while he at work so I will have to get him on the moneysaving challenge! I feel a lot of mystery shopping coming on...... and some bribery if he gets bored.
I'm thinking of forgetting AQA as I just can't get into it and I am soooooo slow.It Will be Mine.............ITV Cash Win, Ipod Touch & Spa BreakI have the comping bug!0
