Can anyone recommend a hotel near the Royal Albert Hall. I am considering the Tara Copthorne which is a 4* at £81 for the night for a room. I will be staying 1 night on the 6 Nov.

I always stay at the Regent Palace Hotel which is in Piccadilly Circus. Last time I went there (about a year ago) I paid £45 for a single room bed and breakfast. The rooms are basic. All you get is a bed, chair, sink and kettle. You have to go down the corridor for the loo and wash room but that's OK. The breakfast there is really nice too. There are rooms with ensuite bathrooms but they cost a bit more.
I have another tip. When you ring up stay on hold. Don't press any of the option keys. If you press the option keys you will be put through to a booking agent which will charge you £10 to £20 more for the room. If you stay on hold you will get to speak to the reception desk at the hotel who will book you the room for a cheaper deal. You also don't need a credit card. You just need to check in before 3pm and you can pay by cash.

If it's cheap you want, you can look at http://www.easyhotel.com £42 for that night.
