Another problem.

PC has a mind off its own!
Sometimes it will work other times it will not.
Switch it on, M/s XP logo comes up then disapears. Can still hear the tower working. But a black screen.
Switch it off and most times it comes on on the 2nd attempt.

Is this a software problem or is a hardware part going down.

I'd open it up and reseat (click in and out) all the RAM , graphics cards etc and blow out the dust

Finally got around to that---no help still not coming on takes three or four attempts now! Definitely working, but its just a black screen disconnected mo niter and reconnected but as it starts up OK not the monitor. M/S starting up comes up. I now know if its going to work because M/S XP logo stays up a lot longer. And it will work. Pain in the A.
