Monitoring Saving Accounts

Does anyone know of any free software that could be used for monitoring of mainly saving accounts. I have a substantial ammount in savings accounts and move the cash according to the best returns available, the constant moving with new accounts makes it cumbersome to control and monitor in Excel, I was hoping a freeware package was available to make iteasier.

I doubt that there will be any software for that purpose. The nearest thing I can think of is the Egg money manager (something like that). I think if you had a small amount deposited with them and let them have details of all your accounts with other institutions they would show the updated amounts on a regular basis - not exactly sure though. I tried it and found that some of the companies I do business with e.g. Fidelity will not sign up to the Egg scheme so I have cancelled it all together. I now just keep a portfolio list on a great site which lets you show cash accounts, funds, shares all in separate blocks.
Last night I checked it expecting to see a big drop in the total but was pleasantly surprised because a couple of my holdings have been doing very well.

You might want to take a look at GnuCash: http://www.gnucash.org/index.phtml

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "monitoring". I use GnuCash myself and use it to track all my finances.
