Claireabelle, it was only one splurge and it doesn't happen all the time, so i hope you had a good time and lots of good memories and are now ready to get back to debt busting. Plus you've got two weeks off to catch up!
Thanks mate.
Just done our finances and we're ok for the month... plus OH pointed out that we have loads of food and booze after the barbie so shouldn't need to go shopping for a wee while! Silver lining (sort of  )0 -
claireabelle, get on that naughty step! hope you had a goodun, sounds like it
It was
I feel like I have changed my spending habits, but not my way of thinking about money totally. I'm definitely more prone to slipping up on the weekend when I don't have my spreadsheet glaring at me! :rotfl:0 -

All I have done today is- eat leftover bbq sausages for breakfast
(I told you it was bad)
- not go to greenwich to watch the football
- do some free (ish) pampering, mani/pedi/bath as I am officially on annual leave now
- line dry my 30 deg washing
- not dwell on bad debt-busting weekend as that's the first time i've slipped off the wagon since last august, and what i've spent this weekend used to be a normal getting-in-debt weekend for myself, so can dust myself off!
Claire
hope you had a great time at the barbie:beer: If you are going to fall off the dfw wagon at least enjoy it:beer:  . We will let you off with the naughty step0 - eat leftover bbq sausages for breakfast

Well, I can't be too smug as we had a BBQ today for lots of people and I forgot to make ice. So I paid £1.92 for 2 bags of ice from Tesco which I felt VERY ashamed about.
Anyway, the good stuff:
-the lady before me at the Tesco recycling bank left without scanning her card so I picked up her clubcard points
-Spent £61 on the weekly shop- not bad at all as that's my danger area. And that included a pair of flip flops and bikini for my hols and 2 pairs of shorts on sale for my son
-Made an excellent pasta salad using a can of mixed beans in vinaigrette-very cheapDebt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

Hi guys, had a really non DFW day today (but still better than it would have been a while ago), but we decided to have a NSD yesterday (used nectar points to go to movies - and paid by swiping the nectarcard - how cool) so could go out for lunch today.
Other than that have done:
- surveys
- comps
- updated spreadsheets and quicken
- storecupboard breakfast and lunch
Hmm, thats about it, now gotta go back to watching Germany lose the Euro, Grrr!
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend

Today I have:
~ done piggyclicks and lightspeed checks
~ eaten all meals according to mealplan, using stuff already in the house
~ stripped the bargain chicken after roasting and portioned out the meat – it made a roast dinner, and there is enough meat portioned out for 2 days of sandwiches for me to take to work tomorrow and Tuesday, a portion of shredded meat to use in tortilla wraps with salad, a large portion to make into chicken curry (which, depending on what else goes into the curry – veggies, pulses, etc - may yet split into 2 meals for 2 people!) and we are currently boiling the bones for stock in order to make a risotto (and there are some little bits of meat left over which we will add to this). Phew…not bad for one reduced chicken! :j
~ popped to Sainsbury’s Local when we realised that we didn’t have any carrots and needed one for the stock. Obviously arrived at the right time, because I picked up 2 Taste the Difference Garlic and Coriander Naan breads (69p each reduced to 15p, which will go nicely with the chicken curry above…;)) and 2 large Taste the Difference Tarte aux Pommes (reduced to 75p each from £4.39 each!!!). Have popped the naan breads and one of the tartes straight into the freezer. The other tarte we have had some of for tea (Mr P couldn’t believe his luck!:rotfl:) and will finish up over the next couple of days - its best before date is Tuesday…I think we’ll force ourselves to get through it by then!!:p
Hope you had a great Christmas, Sophiesmum!:xmassign:
Claireabelle – relax…you are on holiday– and at least nowadays you recognise that its not been a good DFW weekend. Like you say, so many of us used to do something similar just because it was a weekend!!!
