When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today i will:

Wow andan - that's some list!! Can I have some of your motivation!
Today we're (i.e. me & the DD with the Boy watching us and laughing)- Make biscuits - bought a cookie recipe book from Oxfam, so today we're trying rosewater thins, as have some rosewater I bought on impulse a year ago!
- Tidy up the massive pile of clothes we sorted out for Ebay, wash anyting that needs it and put it neatly in a box ready for photographing
- Do my clicks - adding up nicely and I'm chuffed to little penguins with myself.
- Find DD's pencils, rather than have to go and get her more (although the last 2 lots came from the library's Bookstart freebie, but think asking for a third will make them suspicious!)
- Have a NESD (No Extra Spend Day) - as there are some bits I need, like DS's sippy cup.
- Definately do the letters I've put off for weeks, basically asking quite a few places for my money back. It's my money, so what am I putting it off for?
- List a load of books on Amazon, and anything under £3.50 put on Green Metropolis
- Get a yoga DVD done with DD - she loves it, and stops me feeling guilty about not being able to get to the gym.
- Make sausage rolls before the sausagemeat goes funny.
- Put bacon on freezer before it goes funny too!
- Bottle up the homemade chutney I made, to avoid that going to waste
- Change the beds and get as much laundry done while the weather holds.
- Tidy up the DD's room, and discreetly take out anything that's broken/scribbled on/too young for her
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Afternoon guys!

* have checked online banking
* will sort out all the bills and papers loitering around the place
* will look at coursework and try to do one of the essays before tuesday
* will cleaning the stinking fish tank so that the smell stops
* will bg up some of the loose change in the pot to pay into the bank tomorrow
* avoid the temptation of getting a takeaway and find something nice in the freezer
* will use 'free' texts/ minutes on mobile to contact friends today
* have checked pigsback and got an unexpected 5 points! Woooo hoooo!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
I have bought 3 copies of NOTW for the £5 off wys £30 at Tesco, did the first of my three shops there this week. Spent £32.83 and paid with coupons so that all I had to hand over in cash was £4.11 (so if I can repeat this three times it will mean my weekly shopping will be less than £15)
Washing is on the line and not in the tumble dryer.
Updated my snowball
Ordered Boots vouchers from quidco (birthday's coming up and can use the vouchers to buy pressies).0
