Why was my paypal dispute escalated to a Claim automatically?

I opened a paypal dispute about a non described item, but it is very strange that it was escalated to a Claim just after the post of the seller. I didnt do that. I dont know the reason. I can tell that the seller is a liar . Any advice? Thanks
If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

i think it is seller to escalate the claim, not paypal. Paypal never do that.0

Does the seller also have the option to escalate to a claim? If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.0

Am I right that people can only make so many Paypal claims via the one Paypal account? Therefore if the seller escalates the buyers dispute to a claim then this effectively eats into one of buyers 'lives'?0

I don't believe so.Am I right that people can only make so many Paypal claims via the one Paypal account? Therefore if the seller escalates the buyers dispute to a claim then this effectively eats into one of buyers 'lives'?
I believe anyone can raise as many disputes as they like, and obviously they can then be raised to a claim by either party.
I don't think paypal places any restriction whatsoever on how many claims an account holder raises. I don't think there are any restrictions on how many disputes are raised either - many disputes get resolved without raising to a claim. I suspect only if a person was raising numerous disputes vexatiously might paypal suspend the account"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

I seem to remember that there used to be a limit but not anymore.
However paypal can limit your account, because they believe your purchasing pattern is too risky and you are attracting too many claims. Their way of saying pick your sellers more carefully.0
